Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 11, 2026
EveryRecall ("we," "us") operates the website at everyrecall.org. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the site, how it's used, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and we do not sell your personal information.
Information we collect
EveryRecall does not require you to create an account, and we don't ask for your name, email, or any personal details to use the search. The information involved falls into three groups:
- Searches you run. The product or brand terms you search are processed to return recall results and are logged in aggregate to understand which products people look for most (so we can prioritize new pages). These logs do not identify you.
- Basic technical data. Like most websites, our server and our providers receive standard request data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you visit. We use a privacy-preserving daily hash of IP and browser to count distinct visits without storing your raw IP for that purpose.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Set by our analytics and advertising partners as described below.
How we use information
- To run the recall search and display results.
- To understand aggregate usage and decide which recall pages and categories to build.
- To operate, secure, and improve the site.
- To display advertising that helps keep the site free.
Advertising
EveryRecall is supported by advertising. We work with third-party advertising partners, including Google AdSense and Adsterra, which may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by Google by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising from many vendors at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
- For more on how Google uses data, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Advertising partners operate independently; we don't control the cookies they set or the ads they choose to show. Please review their own privacy policies for details.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (for example, which pages are popular and how visitors arrive). Google Analytics sets cookies and processes usage data. You can prevent this with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Consent (EEA, UK, and similar regions)
If you are in a region that requires consent for advertising and analytics cookies (such as the EEA or UK), our advertising partners' consent mechanisms apply, and ads may be served on a non-personalized basis where required. You can change your choices at any time using the opt-out links above and your browser's cookie controls.
Your choices
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings.
- You can use the advertising opt-out links above to limit personalized ads.
- You can use the site without providing any personal information.
Children
EveryRecall is a general-audience informational tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data we don't do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not build user profiles to identify you personally. We don't ask for sensitive personal data to use the search.
Third-party links
Recall results link to official government records and other sources. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don't control.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
